W: Hey, Michael, how’s it going?
M: OK, I guess, but I just found out the bus company is changing their schedule, and they’re canceling the bus that goes to my neighborhood. That means I won’t be able to take the bus to campus anymore.
W: Oh, that’s too bad. What are you going to do?
M: I don’t know yet. I need to figure out some way to get to school after the end of the month. I don’t have a car, and I live too far away to walk.
W: What about carpooling with another student? There must be someone who lives near you that drives to school. Have you checked the ride board?
M: No. What ride board?
W: There’s a big bulletin board in the Student Center, you know, outside the cafeteria. It has a big map of the city, and there are places where people who drive can advertise for riders, and where people who need rides can look for people to carpool with. You should check it out. You could put your name up in the place where it lists people looking for rides. Maybe you’ll find someone.
M: Oh, yeah? I wonder.
W: Or another thing, uh, have you ever thought about moving closer to campus? I mean, I share an apartment with roommates that’s just five blocks away. It’s great cause I can walk to campus.
M: Hmmm. I don’t know. I like where I live now, and moving is a lot of trouble.
W: Yeah. Well, I hope you can figure out something. Good luck.
M: Thanks.
