[01:33.51]ANNIE:No, and we finish at the end of this week, on Friday, so that's July 15th?

[01:51.66]Oh, course organisation.

[01:54.94]ANNIE:Er, clear?
[01:56.72] It was, wasn't it?
[01:58.10]BEN:Yes.
[01:58.19] I think the organisation was clear.

[02:03.40]ANNIE:It was a good thing he gave us the course outline at the beginning, in the first session, that was useful, so I'll put that down, shall I?
[02:12.74]Now, going on to suggestions for improvement, one thing that wasn't so good, I think we could have done a bit more work at the beginning, I mean at the beginning it seemed dead easy.
[02:24.30]BEN:Yeah.
[02:24.94]ANNIE:I thought it was going to be really easy and then all of a sudden in the second half of the course we got a whole load of work, reading to do and essays and things.
[02:34.16]BEN:Yes, it'd be better if it was more even.
[02:37.38]OK, now course delivery, does that mean teaching?
[02:40.74]ANNIE:Yeah, I suppose so.
[02:42.32]Well, what I thought was really good on this course was the standard of teaching.
[02:47.33]Actually - I mean some of the teachers were better than others-but the standard generally was fine.
[02:53.89]Much better than other courses I've been on.
[02:56.21]BEN:Yeah, I agree.
[02:57.50]Let's put that then.
[02:58.10]What about suggestions for improvement?
[03:01.50]ANNIE:I...
[03:02.54] I didn't think it was all that wonderful when we had great long group discussion sessions that went on for hours and hours.
[03:11.89]I don't mean we shouldn't have group discussions, just that they shouldn't go on too long.
[03:52.96]ANNIE:Now, on to materials and equipment.
[03:56.97]BEN:Oh, now what was good about some sessions was the handouts.
[04:00.54]ANNIE:Yes.
[04:01.64]I thought all the handouts were good actually, and some were great, website addresses and everything.
[04:07.26]BEN:One problem though with materials was the key texts.
[04:10.98]ANNIE:Yes!
[04:11.90]There just weren't enough copies on reserve in the library.
[04:15.16]And if you can't get the key texts before the session, how are you supposed to do the reading?
[04:20.57]And not enough computers.
[04:23.30]You have to wait ages to get one.
[04:25.48]BEN:OK, testing and evaluation - well, I don't know, it's hard to say until we've got our written assignments back.
[04:32.53]ANNIE:Don't talk about it, I only got mine in yesterday, it was a real struggle.
[04:38.14]I hate to think what mark I'll get.
[04:41.70]BEN:Yes, but at least we've done the oral presentation - I thought that was good, the way I got my feedback really quickly.
[04:47.89]ANNIE:Yes, it was.
[04:48.87]And I liked the way we knew what we'd be evaluated on, we knew the criteria, so we knew we had to think about clarity, organisation, and so on.
[04:58.77]BEN:Yeah, but I'm not so sure about the written work.
[05:01.27]One thing I think is that there's just too much, it's really stressful.
[05:06.13]ANNIE:Yes, I'd agree and I don't see why they can't let us know the criteria they use for marking.
[05:12.70]BEN:The written assignments?
[05:13.58] But he told us.
[05:14.56]ANNIE:No, for the final exams.
[05:16.25]What are they looking for - what are the criteria?
[05:19.62]What makes a pass or a fail?
[05:21.92]BEN:Yeah, I never thought of that.
[05:23.60]It'd be really useful.
[05:24.83]ANNIE:OK, any other comments?
[05:28.11]BEN:I thought student support was excellent.
[05:31.30]ANNIE:Yeah, me too.
[05:32.39]OK, excellent.
[05:35.70] Other comments?
[05:37.50]BEN:No, I can't think of anything else.
[05:39.60]ANNIE:Nor me.
