It is an American treasure. It’s famed for its crystal-clear water and its size. Its average depth is 989 feet. Surrounded by the imperious peaks of the Sierra Nevada，its waters soak up the colors of the sky and the mountains，creating a kaleidoscope of sparkling blues，greens，and purples—a sight that will lure you back year after year.
Not only the water but also the land near it is amazing as well. This is the best value in the world for a ski vacation or a summer in the mountains. There are countless fun things to do: skiing，snowmobiling，and ski boarding in the winter. After a pleasant day on the slopes or by the lake，people can retreat to a beautiful， comfortable hotel for relaxation and rest! I just love it!
